SOHO
On the west central block of 6th street glows the eye catching neon lights of Soho.
This bar draws a mixed crowd of local students, fellow Austinknights, and any one who can stand a good ol' fashion bump-n-grind. The dim lighting and contemporary architecture can hide the large amount of foot traffic this two story bar can hold. Which maybe if your like me after a couple great priced drinks, you like to get lost in a crowd. The location is prime because out side, you don't get the mess of drunkards and cast from "My New Haircut", which means the same can be said for the interior. Now whats more intriguing than the downstairs bar which stretches over 30 ft., is the bar tending staff who knows what they are doing. Soho's attractive staff kindly does not make the drinks taste as cheap as they are priced which is hard to come across these days. The best thing I can honestly say about his place is the welcoming vibe, I mean you get addicted to just stopping by on a Monday or Tuesday night. Which is good if your not in town on the weekends. Also don't forget they have a few great strategically placed sections for bottle service which enables you to view the dance floor, or be right in the middle of it. Soho I believe has grown almost into a trademark of 6th. Its classic for the working type in town on business, or a neutral spot for students coming from out of town who witness the Longhorns blowing there school out in burnt orange fashion.
