Madonna Resurfaces in Smirnoff Social Media Promotion

Smirnoff will help Madonna pick a dancer for her next tour in a new promotion that will try to get 10 million people in 50 countries to swap their nightlife stories via social media.
The promotion, called the Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, asks fans from around the world to share their nightlife experiences on the brand’s Facebook Page. The campaign, created by ad agency JWT, will include an event on November 12 in which 50 parties will happen simultaneously.
Madonna will be attending one of the parties where dancers will compete in front of her. The winner of that dance-off may be chosen as a dancer for Madonna’s next tour. Smirnoff will take submissions for that contest from August 17 through October 10. To enter, dancers have to submit a 60-second video of themselves. Details are available at Smirnoff.com.
Madonna has close to 6 million fans on Facebook, but aside from that, she’s kept a relatively low profile in social media. She’s not on Twitter yet and hasn’t released an album since 2008′s Hard Candy. Madonna’s manager, Guy Oseary, however, tweeted in June that Madonna was planning to start work on a new album.

Day & Night Brings St. Tropez To Gurney's Inn [Photos]

Day & Night came back to Gurney's Inn over the weekend to celebrate it's addition to St. Tropez, and it was messy -- the kind of messy where your bangs are soaked in sticky champagne and plastered down on your forehead and your dress is splattered and stained with cranberry juice and vodka. So what are some lessons we've learned from these drunk bafoons? Well, for one drinking a bottle of rosé that is half the size of your body to the face will undoubtedly lead to some sloppy outcomes...

Jay-Z Takes Over LIV Nightclub, Spends $250K on Bottles [News]

Mark Cuban, business mogul and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, once spent $110K at Club LIV in Miami. Last night, Jay-Z shattered that record by allegedly racking up a tab of $250K.
The gold Ace Of Spades bottles were flowing freely at the Watch The Throne release party, which reportedly cost hundreds of dollars and hours in line just to enter. Kanye was in Europe and couldn't attend, but Hov made up for it by spending an absurd amount and even copping one of those massive 15 liter bottles at one point.
DJ ClueStevie J and Don P supplied music for the event, and insiders said that VIP treatment for the night was going for $20K. You probably won't see many pictures of Jay from the night, because he didn't perform and apparently wasn't posing for snapshots, but we do have some photos of those metallic bottles.

International Beer Day: 8 Social Websites for Brew Lovers

That’s right beer lovers, August 5 will now and forevermore be known as International Beer Day. If you thought all your hops loving had to take place offline, think again.
International Beer Day started in 2007 when Jesse Avshalomov persuaded his local bar to celebrate. The following year, the site’s celebratory mission had spread to England and South Africa. The site now encourages beer lovers to plan their own events or join a group.
We’ve decided to celebrate responsibly as well — at least during work hours — by compiling the best web apps for beer lovers. Some allow you to check in at bars and post beer brags to your friends. Others host educational forums and home brewing tips for the serious ale aficionado. All in all, these apps provide great opportunities to hone your beer knowledge and celebrate the day properly.
According to these sites, it’s always 5 o’clock somewhere.

Although Untappd revolve's around strong mobile app activity, it's web presence is just as engaging. A feed called "The Pub" lists where beer fans are drinking. User's are free to check into bars and rate beers to contribute to a trending beer list.
