LAS VEGAS -- Leading entertainment and nightlife company Angel Management Group (AMG) and Hakkasan Ltd., a prestigious global restaurant brand, announced today a partnership to launch a Michelin-starred luxury-dining brand combined with a lavish new nightclub at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino. The collaboration delivers an innovative concept evolving beyond Hakkasan's original restaurant model, incorporating the best elements in dining and nightlife to create an unimaginable experience that will revolutionize the Las Vegas market.
Set to open December 2012, Hakkasan Las Vegas will replace Studio 54. The new venue is part of the resort's "Grand Renovation," a 360-degree renovation updating MGM Grand's guest rooms and its casino floor as well as entertainment, dining and nightlife experiences. The transformation will expand the size of the former venue, creating an indoor/outdoor space with unparalleled views of the famed Las Vegas Strip.
Hakkasan Las Vegas will be the company's most momentous venue to date, as it will be the first location to incorporate an extravagant nightclub component. Converging dining and nightlife, it will be the embodiment of sophistication, glamour, world-class cuisine and impeccable service, thus creating a sexy and stylish environment.
Hakkasan sits at the forefront of the industry having redefined traditional Cantonese cuisine executed with modern flair. Recognized as one of the most influential Chinese restaurant groups, the fine-dining phenomenon has Michelin stars for both of its London locations including its flagship in Hanway Place and its new addition in the heart of Mayfair. It also has restaurants in Miami, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Mumbai and a New York location opening in March 2012.
AMG has built an unrivaled reputation over the past seven years as a premier entertainment and nightlife company recognized for its successful venue management, operations, events, promotions and for consistently running innovative marketing and advertising campaigns. A pioneer in the industry, it currently handles more than a dozen properties including WET REPUBLIC Ultra Pool -- Las Vegas' first daylife destination -- also at MGM Grand and frequented by A-list celebrities, entertainers and internationally renowned DJs.
